E4 Emma J. Diven, born 1846, died 1905; married William C. Murray, born ca. 1838, died 1900. We know next to nothing about this great-grandmother, the youngest of Elizabeth Junkin Diven's four daughters, although her mother died the year following her birth, so she knew only step-mothers: Mary Rebecca Irvine from her marriage to James Linn Diven in 1848 to her death in 1856 and then Margaret Black from her marriage in 1858 for over 30 years.

William Murray was described by censuses as a farmer (1860 and Civil War Draft Registration List in 1863 87) and a butcher (1870). They married in 1869, apparently at the Landisburg Presbyterian Church, and honeymooned at Niagara Falls.

William was a member of the International order of Odd Fellows' Mt. Dempsey Lodge in Landisburg, and the marriage was inscribed in the Lodge's bible. Probably the inscription happened on the 15th.

William and Emma had six children from 1871 to 1881, all given rich family names. If she had young children or babies who did not live long, we do not of this. Emma herself may have been named for her mother's half-sister Emma Diven, and it seems likely that the "J" was her mother's maiden name Junkin:
