G1 Roberta "Bo" Marie Junkin, born in Hamilton on 13 Oct. 1904, She died 1 Jan. 1974 of heart disease. She was the daughter of Albert Thomas Junkin and Katharine Decker. She was educated in Hamilton public schools and graduated from Hamilton High in 1921.
Roberta married George Dennis Amyx in the Lindenwald Methodist Church on April 20, 1922 (view marriage license). Calvin Horn of the Lindenwald Methodist church officiated the marriage. Dennis Amyx was born in Amville, Kentucky on Feb 16,1901 to Robert Amyx and Charlena Farmer (?). He died on Feb. 1, 1972.
Roberta was a member of the Lindenwald Methodist Church, Women's Christian Society, Alpha Circle, and the Lindenwald Community Club.
Obituary of Roberta Marie Junkin AmyxMrs. Roberta Marie Amyx 70, 632 Weller Ave. died at her home, Tuesday, at 10 a.m. Mrs. Amyx was born in Hamilton, a daughter of Albert and Katharine Decker Junkin. She was educated in the Hamilton public schools and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1921. On April 20, 1922 she married Dennis Amyx in the Lindenwald Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1972. Mrs. Amyx was a member of the Lindenwald Methodist church, Women’s christian Society, Alpha Circle of the Lindenwald Methodist Church, and the Lindenwald Community Club. She leaves her mother , Katharine Junkin ,Fairfield Nursing Home, one daughter Mrs. John ( Betty Jane Minnich, Atlanta Georgia, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one brother Harry L Junkin, Hamilton. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Zettler Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 8-9 PM at the funeral home
