ObituaryAlbert T. Junkin died at 6:30 Monday evening at his home, 632 Weller Ave., Lindenwald, of a complication of disease, after a lingering illness covering a period of two years. Mr. Junkin was born in Peru, Indiana, April 30, 1876. He was educated in the common schools of Peru and after leaving school he learned the textile trade at the Peru Woollen mills, where he was employed until the family moved to Hamilton in 1892 when he was employed in the Shuler and Benninghofen mills of the city which employment he has been engaged in up to the time his health forced him to leave his work. He was married in 1902 to Katie Decker of this city from which union two children were born, Roberta, aged 13 and Harry aged 9. In addition to the widow and his two children the deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. John A. Reiff and two brothers, William T. Junkin and Harry A. Junkin all of the city. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the family home, Rev. J. R. Wynd of the Lindenwald M. E. church officiating. Interment, Greenwood.

Katherine Junkin, 100Katherine C. Junkin, 100, formerly of Weller Ave., died Thursday night at the Fairfield Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for 13 years. She was born in Hamilton, the daughter of Casper and Mary Deinzer Decker. In 1902 she married Albert Junkin in Hamilton. He preceded her in death in 1917.Mrs. Junkin was a joiner at Shuler and Benninghofen Woollen Mills for 50 years, retiring in 1952. She was a member of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church and the Hamilton chapter of the Daughters of America. She leaves a son, Harry L. Junkin, Hamilton; three granddaughters, Mrs. John (Betty) Minnich, Atlanta, GA., Mrs. Gail (Janice) Hinderlong, Fairfield, and Mrs. Joyce Cockerill, Fairfield; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Robert Amyx, preceded Mrs. Junkin in death in 1974. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. No visitation is planned.
