William Junkin (1821-1880)

D1 William Junkin (Jenkins), born in January 1853, in Lewistown, Mifflin County Pennsylvania, and died 5 March 1880 at the age of 59 in Peru, Miami County, Indiana. He was the son of Andrew Junkin and Margaret Willis. He was a carriage blacksmith and later a carriage maker. He was married to Sarah Montgomery in 1845 at Mifflin, Pennsylvania. Sarah Montgomery was born 1824 in Mifflin, Pennsylvania. William was a carpenter. The family moved from Lewistown, Mifflin County Pennsylvania, to Peru, Miami County, Indiana about 1848 or 49.

E2 Katherine L (Katie) Junkin (Jenkins), born 1848 in Lewistown, Mifflin County Pennsylvania, died February 4, 1888; married Thomas J. Newman 6 March 1867; Thomas died at the age of 65 on 16 Aug. 1911 in Peru, Indiana.

E3 Robert M. Junkin, born June 12, 1850 in Peru, Miami County, Indiana, died November 16, 1885; married December 24, 1874 Ada P. Dispennet.

E4 William Turner Junkin, born January 1853 in Peru, Miami County, Indiana; married Lavina M. Mell around 1880, born April, 1856 in Indiana. Turner was a carriage blacksmith and later a carriage maker. They had no children. They lived in Cass county, Bluffton County, and Miami County during their marriage.

E5 Sarah (Sadie) Junkin, born in October, 1857 in Peru, Miami County, Indiana; married (1) William Minnick on October 28, 1875; married (2) Samuel N. Pennel on September 8, 1887.
