He was buried in 1972 in Greenwood, Phoenix, Arizona. He died on December 20, 1972 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

G2 William Byron Newman, born May 28, 1902 in Cass County Indiana, died June, 1968 in Detroit Wayne Co Michigan; married 1929 Mary E Hiles in Marion County, Indiana, born 25 December 25, 1903 in Indiana, died on October 19, 1988 in Detroit Wayne County, Michigan. In 1920 Byron was living with William McKinley and wife Clara A and son Harold age 12. It was stated that Byron was their nephew. In 1930 Byron and Mary are living in Detroit, Wayne Co Michigan . He was a truck driver for scrap iron. Her sister Minnie M Hiles born 1919 was living with them.
