D7 Sarah Margaret Junkin, born June 16, 1821 in West Middletown, Pennsylvania, and died August 6, 1900 in Ashland, Virginia. Married (1) December 21, 1837 Captain George Washington Clutter, born December 15, 1817, "...died July 16, 1857 at half past four o'clock in the evening aged Thirty-nine years seven months and one day". Five children.

George Clutter served as a Captain in the 13th Infantry in the Mexican War, and was the first auditor of the state of Virginia to be elected by the people. Captain Clutter was born December 15, 1817 in Kingwood, Preston County, Virginia (now West Virginia), and died on July 16, 1857 during he second term as auditor of the state of Virginia. He had previously lived in Wheeling, (West) Virginia, and there was the editor of the Wheeling Argus. He also served as postmaster at Wheeling. He and his wife moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1849-50 (?), and he became a member of Den Lodge Masons #51 on November 9, 1853.

Sarah Margaret Clutter married (2) September 21, 1865 Rev. Frederick A. Shearer, D.D., Presbyterian.
