Ray Horine was born on September 9, 1915. He married Mary McRill on May 25, 1934 and to them were born two daughters, three grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray and Mary lived in the Eaton area most of their married life (they did move to Florida for a few years, but returned to Eaton). Ray worked for Hines Dairy, was a mechanic, and just a regular "good guy". He enjoyed teasing people (like Grandpa Alva) and having a good time. Mary was a homemaker. Ray passed away with heart problems in November of 1980. His daughters are Diane Horine Buckley who has lived her adult life in Florida; and Becky, Rebecca Rae Horine Pitsinger, who has lived in Eaton.


Raymond Horine

Raymond F. Horine, 65, of 311 Deem St., Eaton, died Sunday evening at Reid Memorial Hospital, Richmond, Ind., after a lingering illness. He was a retired mechanic and auto body repairman.

Survivors include his widow, Mary (McRill) Horine, two daughters, Mrs. Diane Huckley of Albany, N.Y., and Mrs. Rebecca Pitsinger of Eaton; three grandchildren.

Other survivors include six sisters, Mrs. Helen Zimmerman of Richmond, Ind., Mrs. Thelma Agne of Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Norma JoAnn Schiltz of Apollo Beach, Fla., Mrs. Mary Tingle, Mrs. Phyllis Jean DeHart and Mrs. Doris June Clark , all of Eaton; and four brothers, Dwight Horine, Ralph Horine, Robert Horine, all of Eaton, and Dale Horine of West Alexandria.

Services for Mr. Horine will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (today) at the Carnes Funeral, with the Rev. Samuel Carnes officiating; Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.

The family received friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
