I1 Elizabeth Horine, married (1) Jacob Wachtel February 23, 1811, son of Johannes Wachtel and Elizabetha Summers. She married (2) John C. Lane April 03, 1838, son of Seth Lane.

John C. Lane was the youngest son of Seth Lane, a businessman of Hagerstown. John and Elizabeth farmed near Middletown [Maryland]. After John Lane died prematurely in 1855 Elizabeth moved her young family including daughters Mary C. and Julia M. of Boonsboro. According to a deed recorded for $30,000.00 filed 14 April 1869, Elizabeth and her husband were in Georgetown, DC.

John C. Lane operated a distillery which was originally owned by John D. Ahalt. It was one of the largest in the upper part of the Middletown Valley built by a Staley. It was sold by Mr. Ahalt to Henry Horine who operated it until selling it to John C. Lane, who then sold it to George Horine who closed it in 1867. His grandson, William Preston Lane, Jr would become governor of Maryland in 1948.

    J6 Daniel Wachtel, born September 29, 1815 in Frederick County, Maryland; died May 14, 1866 in Buried at St Johns, Ellerton.

    J7 Charles S. Lane, born October 27, 1848 in Frederick County, Maryland.

    J8 John Clarence Lane, born near Middletown March 132, 1850, was a well-known attorney in Hagerstown, member of the Maryland Senate and Vestryman of St. John's Episcopal Church.

    J9 William Preston Lane, born November 30, 1851 in Middletown Valley, Frederick County, Maryland.

    J10 Mary C. Lane. She married Samuel C. Knode.

    J11 Julia M. Lane. She married H. H. Keedy.
