E1 Sarah Agnes Junkin, born 9 January 1854, Warret County, Ill; died 5 Sept 1939, Ashville, North Carolina; buried Dexter, Iowa. Married 22 January 1874 Marion W. Brown (born 12 Sept 1844, Perry County, Ohio; died 4 July, 1922, Dexter, Iowa).

Sarah Agnes "Aunt Sade" graduated from Monmouth College and taught school before her marriage which occurred at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Holliday. At the same time the Hollidays' daughter Frances Mary became the bride of John Carr. Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved to Madison County, Iowa, shortly after their marriage, later moving to Dexter, Iowa. Possessor of a fine mind, she was ever interested in current affairs, even in her advanced years. Her interest and knowledge of family history really started the author (Laura Gayle Junkin) on this project. Residence-Dexter, Iowa.
