John Oliver Junkin (1834-1914)

D6 John Oliver Junkin, born March 25, 1834 in Mifflin, Pennsylvania, and died May 10, 1914 in Lake City, Minnnesota He married Lucy Jane Dorset. She was born 1839, and died October 15, 1880.

Notes: J O Junkin was a Mason who belonged to the Kellogg Lodge, no. 122, A. F. A. M., J. O Junkin served as treasurer of the lodge. His son in law L O Cook later became a member of the lodge.

Note: He was elected treasurer when Kellog was incorporated.
The act of incorporation named J. E. Gage, Joseph Ginthner and John Schouweiler as judges of the first election, and they were elected village trustees, with Calvin Potter as president and Edward A. Tupper recorder. J. O. Junkin was elected treasurer. He later served as President from 1882-1884
