L1 Rosella Lee Horine, born 3 February, 1925, Darke County, Ohio, died 5 July, 1983 in Vandalia, Ohio, buried Poplar Hill Cemetery, Montgomery County, Ohio. She was the only child of Mary Mabel Miller and Harrison Leonard Horine. Three children.

Rosella graduated from the Ohio State University School of Engineering and Architecture in June, 1948. While in school, she received the "Woman's Badge" from the honorary Engineering Fraternity Tau Beta Pi, the Undergraduate Architect's Award, served as editor of the Ohio State Engineer and was a resident of the Alumnae Scholarship House. She was one of the first women architects in the state of Ohio.
