D6 Rudolphus Fisher, born May 17, 1858 in Monroe Township, Harrison County, Ohio; died June 13, 1952 in Albany, Benton, Oregon, buried Oak Lawn Memorial Park, Corvallis, Benton, Oregon; Married September 19, 1878 Mary Zumbro near Brookfield, Linn, Missouri. Four children.

Mary Zumbro was born on July 12, 1852 in Washington County, Ohio, and died on November 27, 1936 in Philomath, Oregon. She was the daughter of Abraham Zumbro (1/24/1810-5/5/1878) and Rebecca Newlon (6/30/1815-12/15/1897). Mary's sister Sarah Zumbro married Rudolphus's brother, Rev. Leander Fisher.


The Rev. Rudolf Fisher

Rudolph Fisher passed away at a convalescent home in Albany, Oregon, June 13, at the age of 94. He was an active pastor for many years and also taught in Avalon College in Avalon, Missouri, and Philomath College, Philomath, Oregon. He also served as a conference superintendent and as a delegate to the General Conference 1896.

He was born in Harrison County, Ohio, May 18, 1858, entered Avalon College in 1881, and was ordained a minister in 1886.

Surviving is one son, Edward. Funeral services were held in the church at Philomath, Oregon. Pastor Charles Whelchel, the Rev. Morris Goodrich, a retired minister, and the Rev. E. B. Ward, a retired missionary from China, officiated. Burial was in Corvallis, Oregon.
