William and Christianna are buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. William's father was William H. Murphy (1818 - 1893) and his mother was Mary Sipe (1818-1862).

William Henry Murphy also married (date unknown) Sarah Rose Johnson, born December 20, 1857 in Hartford County, Maryland, died August 22, 1945 in Greenville, Ohio (view Sarah's Death Certificate). Sarah is buried in Versailles Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio

In 1881 she was united with Christian church at Beamsville, Ohio. Death ; consumption. Leaves hus, 4 dau's, 3 sons, father, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and other relatives. Funeral service and burial at Versailles, Ohio; sermon by Rev. Mc D.

Death of An Aged Farmer

Wm. H. Murphy, a prominent farmer, residing one-half mile west of Weimer's Mill, died at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday morning of Bright's disease. He was about 72 years of age, having been born June 19, 1847.

Mr. Murphy is survived by a wife, three sons and three daughters, several grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Versailles Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Rowland officiating and interment was made in Versailles Cemetery.

SUDDEN DEATH DUE TO HEART ATTACK


Mrs. Sarah Wilmarth Dies At Residence Of Son


A heart attack caused the sudden death of Mrs. Sarah Rose Wilmarth, 88, at 9 p. m. Wednesday at the home of a son, Elvin Murphy, at Rush's Station.

A native of Maryland, Mrs. Wilmarth had resided in Darke County since 1916 and for over twenty years had been an active member of the Champion Grange at Coletown. She was also a member of the Greenville Church of Christ.

Besides the son, she leaves two stepsons, Dennie Murphy, of Bellefountaine, and Joe M. Murphy, of Peoria, Illinois; three step-daughters, Mrs. E. C. Cole, Pontiac, Michigan; Mrs. George Montgomery, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Frank White, who resides in British Columbia, and five grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Saturday at the Zechar funeral home here with the Rev. Earl Lantz officiating. The place of burial has not yet been decided.
