D3 James Agnew Baldridge, born October 14, 1834 near Vandalia, Illinois, died November 28, 1909 in Bratton Townshiop, Adams County, Ohio (view Death Certificate); married November 25, 1875 Mahala Jones, born February 7, 1842, died February 27, 1905. Mahala was the daughter of Amos and Hannah Jones. Three children.

James Agnew Baldridge was a veteran of the Civil War. He served as a Private in Company E, 91st Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Also serving along with James in the 91st OVI were his brother First Lieutenant D4 Samuel P. Baldridge (1836- ), and his cousin D1 William Anning McClanahan (1843-1902).

Old Soldier Dead.

James A. Baldridge died at the home of his son, Samuel, in Bratton township early Sunday morning of disease incident to his age. He was 75 years old and served in Co. E, 91st O. V. I. during the Civil war. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Louisville M. E. church, being conducted by Rev. Howard, of Bellfast. Interment was made at Louisville. He is survived by a son and one brother, John L. Baldridge, of near this place. Mr. Baldridge and __ _____ attended the funeral.
