        4. Valentine Sommers III, born Germany ca. 1734. Arrived America with his father on the ship "Phoenix" in 1749. Valentine was a Revolutionary War soldier, a Corporal in Captain Michael Troutman's Company of the Maryland Militia (not yet verified by NARA). Valentine Summers married Juliana Schreyack at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania on May 7, 1753 by the Rev. Johann George Bager" {Source: South Central Genealogical Society, York County, Pennsylvania. from records of St. Matthews Lutheran, which is their possession).
