Margaret passed peacefully at the age of 93 from this life to continue eternal life the morning of August 9th after a decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Margaret was born in Canfield, Ohio. She attended Stevens College and is a graduate of Duke University. Margaret left the East to move to La Jolla, CA in 1952. After raising her five boys and a daughter, Margaret retired in Escondido, CA where she lived the remainder of her life.

Margaret had a true passion for creative writing, singing, art and the wonders of her world. Margaret is survived by six children and spouses: Edwin (Connie) Stephan, Robert Stephan, Thomas (Paula) Stephan, Kathleen (Gary) Nilson, Timothy (Cindy) Stephan, and James (Helene) Stephan. 10 grandchildren: Erik, Mark, Jenna, Brian, Lisa, Cody, Tanner, Travis, Austin and Erica. 5 great grandchildren: Mikaila, Marlaina, Mackenzie, Allison, Henry and Rylan.
