AMANDA ZELLER

Mrs Amanda Zeller, 79, 710 12th St., died at 11 p.m. Tuesday in the Terrace Hill Nursing Home following an illness of two weeks. She was proceeded in death by her husband, John Henry Zeller, who died on Oct. 11, 1960 (view Marriage Certificate).

Mrs. Zeller was a native and lifelong resident of Darke County. She had spent most of her lifetime in the Versailles area, moving to Greenville four years ago. Her parents were the late Moses and Susannah (Maurer) Miller. She was the last survivor of 18 children.

She was a member of the Oakland Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include two sons, Raymon E., Versailles, and Paul D., Route 1, Greenville; six grandchildren; one step grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and two step - great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Fred Bernhard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles.

Friends may call in the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.


John Zeller Dies At Home In Dawn

John H. Zeller, 73, a retired Darke county farmer, died at 1 a.m. today at his home in the village of Dawn after a ten-month illness.

Mr. Zeller farmed in the Versailles area for approximately 40 years prior to moving to Dawn in 1947, He was a native of Van Wert county.

Surviving are his wife, Amanda; two sons, Raymond of Versailles and Paul of Greenville; seven grandchildren; two brothers, George of Celina and Charles of Versailles, and three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Kruckeberg of Greenville, Mrs. Walter Earick of Covington R. R. and Mrs. Harry Scheffel of Bradford R. R.

Services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Miller funeral home in Greenville. The Rev. Earl Hostetter will officiate and burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery at Versailles. Friends may call at the funeral home after one p. m. Wednesday.
