Married (second wife) 4 April, 1913, to Mary Hauschildt Ilgen, (sister to first wife)(her second husband) died 19 March, 1956, Ohio. Daughters of Lewis Hauschildt and Sophia Zacharias. One child. Both wives were the daughters of Lewis Hauschildt and Sophia Zacharias. All buried in Forest Hill Cemetery.

H2 Sarah Matilda Rhoades, born 28 June, 1882, Darke County, Ohio. Died 17 July, 1957. Married (first husband) 26 April, 1906, Harris Creek Church, to Clarence N. Hess, born 24 November, 1875, Wabash, Ohio. Died 22 June, 1908, North Star, Ohio. Son of Eli Hess and Mary Jane Burns. One child. Married (second husband) 24 February, 1918, to Eli Sherrets, born 1870. Died 1955, buried Brock Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Eli's married (first wife) Jennie Cole. No children.

H3 Jacob L. Rhoades, born 16 November, 1884, Darke County, Ohio. Died 5 November, 1957, Darke County, Ohio. Married 10 February, 1916, Greenville, Ohio, to Bessie McGlinchey, born 19 September, 1885. Daughter of James McGlinchey and Elizabeth McGriff. Buried Harris Creek Cemetery. Four children.

H4 Anna M. Rhoades, born 3 November, 1887, Darke County, Ohio. Died 10 January, 1969, Bradford, Ohio. Married 25 February, 1917, Bradford, Ohio, to Aaron Baker Keller, born 25 August, 1892, Mt. Wolfe, Pennsylvania. Died 11 January, 1965, Bradford, Ohio. Son of William Keller and Ameda S. Baker. Buried Harris Creek Cemetery. Two children.
