Miller, born March 6, 1834 Randolph Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, died July 8, 1910 Gibson Township, Mercer County, or Wabash Township, Darke County, Ohio; married October 21, 1856 Darke County, Ohio by Elder Joseph Risser of the Upper Stillwater Fraternity of German Baptists [now Harris Creek Church of the Brethren], Abigail Martin daughter of Jacob Martin and Susannah Overholser, born August 26, 1838 Adams Township, Darke County, Ohio, died October 27, 1893 Adams Township, Darke County, Ohio. The death certificate for Michael lists his place of death as Wabash Township, Darke County, Ohio.


Michael K. Miller was born near Salem, O., March 6, 1834 and departed this life July 8, 1910, aged 76 years 4 months and 2 days. At the age of six weeks his parents moved to Darke Co. near Gettysburg where he was reared to manhood. He was the oldest of a family of 14 children. He united in marriage with Abigail Martin with whom he lived until her death which occurred in the autumn of 1892 [sic]. His entire life with the exception of the last two years was spent in Darke Co., the last two years he lived in Mercer Co. near North Star. He was the father of 14 children, 6 of whom passed on before.

For many years he has been a member of the Brethren Church. He leaves to mourn his departure, 6 boys and 2 girls, 3 brothers and 3 sisters and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Oakland Church Sunday morning by J. M. Stover, John H. Christian and Nathan Groof. Interment in Oakland Cemetery.

Miller.-In the Harris Creek congregation, Miami Co., Ohio, Oct. 27, 1893, of typhoid fever, Abigail Martin, aged 55 years, 5 months and 1 day. She was united in holy matrimony to Michael K. Miller Oct. 21, 1856. She united with the Brethren church in 1860, and lived a devoted Christian life for about thirty-five years. Sister Miller leaves a husband and eleven children. Funeral took place on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 10 A. M. Services by brethren R. Honeyman and S. D. Royer, from 1 Thess. 4: 18. Interment in the Oakland Cemetery. J. G. Porter.
