On September 2, 1834, Abraham Miller of Clermont County, Ohio purchased an acre of land from Jacob and Mary Myers Jr. for $25.00. Joined by his wife Martha who signed her right of dower, he sold the acre seven days later to Joseph Maugan for $125.00. Because of the Maugan connection, it is suspect that these two men were cousins.
