Mrs. Sophia McClanahan, wife of James McClanahan, died at her son, James' home, she was 85 years old. Born January 12, 1815. Had seven children: Adeline lives on home place, S.A. and Core who married L.P. Brookover, Helen who married Rev. H. J. Zercher of Salem, Oregon, and J. A.

D1 Adaline M. McClanahan, born January 28, 1844, died November 17, 1910.

D2 Samuel Albert McClanahan, born June 27, 1846, died August 9, 1905; married October 6, 1870 Sarah Margaret Zercher, born December 29, 1851, died March 19, 1919.

D3 Laura Jane McClanahan, born October 8, 1848; married September 26, 1867 Mathew W. Williams, born March 16, 1841.

D4 Sophia Cordelia McClanahan, born February 10, 1851; married November 1874 Lewis P, Bookover.

D5 Nancy Helen McClanahan, born August 10, 1853; married June 2, 1879 Rev. Henry J. Zercher.

D6 Julia Ann McClanahan, born March 29, 1857, died February 1, 1896; married January 10, 1883 William C. Kirker, born October 6, 1853, died January 18, 1921.

D7 James Alexander McClanahan, born April 10, 1860, died December 17, 1930; married Addie F. McCarty, born 1860, died June 20, 1938.
