Obituary of Donald William Junkin
Donald William Junkin ,age 89, of Fairfield, died Thursday, January 2,1997 at his residence. He was born March 5, 1907 in Hamilton, the son of William and Pauline (Armstrong) Junkin. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School and was a veteran serving in the Navy in WWII. For over 40 years he was a paper inspector for Champion International Papers and was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, The American legion and was a member of Hamilton B.P.O.E. ELKS Lodge #93.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Hofer Junkin; three children Mildred and her husband, Edward Burkett of Tampa Florida, Donald W Jr of Charleston South Carolina, Mary Lou and husband Dwight Jones of Oxford,Ohio. He is also survived by a step son Enis Hofer of Hamilton; eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday,January 4,1997 at Rose Hill Burial Park with Rev. Grant Montgomery officiating. Kowalk-Funeral Home- Rose Hill Chapel 2565 Princeton Rd. is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials to be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati.
