Portrait of Harry Lawrence Junkin and Betty Reeb G2 Harry Lawrence Junkin, was born on 16 January 1908 in Hamilton, Butler County Ohio, and died 4 May 1980 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio. He was the son of Albert Thomas Junkin and Catharina Carolina Decher (Decker). He is buried at the Rosehill Cemetary, Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio He attended the Hamilton Schools. He married Betty Reeb on June 1, 1937. Two children.

Betty Reeb (Idona Matilda) was born on 2 Aug. 1905 in Darrtown, Ohio. She was the daughter of Benno Reeb and Elizabeth Hedges. Betty died 13 Sept. 2000 and is buried at Rose Hill Cemetary, Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio

Harry was a grocerer. He was co-owner of East Avenue Market for over 40 years with Mack Hazelwood. He retired in 1975. He was a member of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church, life member of BPO Elks Lodge 93, member and past president of the Elks bolwing league, was vice president of the Grocers and Dealers Association, member of Masonic Lodge 17, F& A.M., and the Masonic Temple Club.

Harry Junkin

Harry L. Junkin, 72, 3576 Arlington Ave., died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday in Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital.

He was born in Hamilton, son of Albert and Katherine C. Decker Junkin, and attended Hamilton Schools.

He married Betty I. Reeb in 1937 in Hamilton.

Mr. Junkin was a co-owner of the East Avenue Market for 40 years, retiring in 1975.

He was a member of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church, life member of the BPO Elks Lodge 93, member and past president of the Elks bowling league, was vice president of Grocers and Dealers Association, member of Masonic Lodge 17, F & AM, and the Masonic Temple Club.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Junkin, twin daughters, Mrs. Joyce Cockerill and Mrs. Gail (Janice) Hinderlong, both of Fairfield; four grandchildren.

Services 10:00 a.m. Wednesday Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Visitation 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Masonic Services 7 p.m.

Memorials may be sent to Lindenwald United Methodist Church memorial fund.
