Elizabeth Junkin (ca. 1763-before 1796)

B8 Elizabeth Junkin, born ca. 1763 (?), died before 1796; married Dr. Robert McCall of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. McCall married (2) Sarah ____. Robert McCall died by January 10, 1797, when his will was probated. On June 5, 1796, he made a will (see Will Book D, 383). He prefaced the will with the statement that he was very sick and weak in body. In that will, Robert left property to his wife Sarah McCall, who survived him. His other heirs were:

His "aged mother" Sarah McCall, who was to receive a "comfortable support" from the family and use of his Shippensburg house
His son Robert who, upon reaching age 21, was to inherit all of his father's real estate
His 3 daughters, Elizabeth, Sarah and Peggy

Robert was the son of James and Sarah McCall. The family of James and Sarah McCall came to Shippensburg from Strabane township, York County, Pennsylvania. Robert McCall, while a resident of Strabane Township, York County, Pennsylvania, purchased 150-l/2 acres of land in West Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, from an Elizabeth Junkin, for $200 (Deed book 1E 240).
