Ferd S. McMillan

A month's illness preceded the death of Ferd S. McMillan, 76, of 2068 S. Linden Ave., at 3:35 a.m. today at City Hospital.

Born at Peebles, he was the son of the late Spencer and Louella Miller McMillan.

An Alliance resident 54 years, he formerly operated an electrical shop in Mount Union. He was later employed as an electrician at the American Steel Foundries, retiring in 1955.

He was a member of the Union Avenue Methodist Church and Conrad Lodge, 271, F. and A.M.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Raymond L. Floyd of Alliance; a brother, W. L. of Huntington, W. Va.; and two sisters, Mrs. Hayden Huffman of Norwood and Miss Grace of Columbus.

The Rev. Harold Ewing will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Cassaday and Turkle Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
