John Hager

ORMOND BEACH -- John A. Hager, 86, 2707 John Anderson Drive, a former French professor, died Saturday at Ormond In The Pines.

Mr. Hager was born in Chicago and moved here in 1954 from Reedsburg, Wis. He received his master's degree from the University of Washington and later received his doctorate from Sorbonne University, Paris. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ormond Beach.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Scott, Atlanta, and Alan, Honolulu; and two grandchildren, The family prefers donations to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 336 S. Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach 32074. Haigh-Black, Ormond Beach, is in charge.
