Eleanora Jane Tufts
Milton Freewater, Oregon Eleanora Jane Tufts died at the age of 102 at Elzora Manor Nursing Home Wednesday. No service is scheduled. Mrs. Tufts was cremated. She was born in North Liberty, Ohio, February 2, 1875, the daughter of George and Eleanora Fulton. She is a graduate of Ohio Colleges and came to this area from Highland Park, NY [really New Jersey], in 1961. She taught school at the Ohio Soldiers & Sailors home for Boys in Ohio. She taught in Pittsburg, PA until 1949. She was married in Maineville, Ohio, December 2, 1902, to Charles Hill Tufts. Tufts died in 1953. She is a member of the First Congregational Church. She is survived by her daughter Virginia T. Kinney of Walla Wall, and her son, Charles Fulton Tufts of Manhasset, NY; her six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two nieces also survive.
