Doris "Dot" Horine was another April birthday to celebrate, April 13, 1930. She married Raymond Eugene Clark on August 25, 1947. They too lived in the Eaton and West Alexandria area all their lives. Dot has worked off and on as a cook at a day care center and Ray worked for 32 years at Dayton Tires as a tire builder before retiring. They both enjoy bowling, their work within the F.O.E. Eagles Lodge in Eaton, and life in general. Both Ray and Dot are active volunteers in their retirement. Ray is a trustee of the St. Paul United Methodist Church (he served as custodian there for several years) and was also awarded a Volunteer of the Year award by the local Red Cross. Dot is active in Circle 6 at the church and organizes funeral dinners for the congregation. She is well known as an excellent cook and her specialty - pot pie - brings many people to the annual family reunion the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. Dot spent most of her time being a mother to her children. Ray and Dot have three daughters: Karen Clark Montgomery, an Indiana school teacher and administrator; Sharon Clark Pfaff, Wright Patterson A.F.B. administrator in Dayton, and Barbara Clark Geeting, a Head Start teacher in Kansas. Two sons complete the family picture: James Raymond Clark, a Vietnam veteran who works at a cabinet factory in Richmond, Indiana and Jeffrey Eugene Clark, who works at a paper/box factory in Eaton. While Jim has remained a bachelor, the four other siblings have added nine grandchildren and now the great grandchildren numbers are growing, three with more to come!
